I have been devoted to the Sacred Heart since my childhood; when I attended The Society of the Sacred Heart Academy, first in Bogota, Colombia and then in Greenwich, Ct., the nuns there instilled in us very much love for His Sacred Heart. I cannot remember when I started donating to SHSM, it has been some years.
After my retirement I wanted to invest some money and my sons told me not to worry about them, to invest in whatever I chose. I had read about Sacred Heart Southern Missions’ Gift Annuities, and taking a closer look at the proposal, I thought it to be a good and safe investment and at the same time to be able to help people in the poorest area of the country.
I am ever so filled with gratitude to the Sacred Heart for giving me the means and the opportunity to help our brothers and sisters in some small way, I wish I could do better, but as I mentioned, there's so much need throughout the world.
